Hiring a wedding band can be pricey. A DJ can be just as much fun and quite a bit cheaper. Another option is to have a friend who plays an instrument, play during the reception. Or contact local schools and ask the music teacher if they can recommend a talented, reliable musician who will play at the wedding for a small fee.

You may also want to consider using a CD. A CD provides professional music at a tiny price. Here are some of our favorites. We especially like
A Day to Remember – Instrumental Music for Your Wedding Day

Here are a dozen popular wedding songs.

As Time Goes By (A Kiss Is Just A Kiss) (Michael Feinstein)
The Way You Look Tonight (Frank Sinatra)
How Deep Is Your Love (Bee Gees)
Nothing Compares To You (Sinead O’Connor)
At Last (Etta James)
From This Moment On (Shania Twain)
Power Of Love (Celine Dion)
When A Man Loves A Woman (Percy Sledge or Michael Bolton)
Just the Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Our Love Is Here To Stay (Harry Connick, Jr.)
I Can Love you Like That (John M. Montgomery)
I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You (Elvis Presley)

Prior to the wedding you may want to brush up on your dance skills. DVD’s offer professional instruction for a fraction of the price of professional real time lessons.
